Be sure to follow all the Tips For Clicks social media accounts so you don't miss out on new blog posts!

Instagram is a useful social media platform as it is practically all visual. It's an impressive platform for sharing photos and videos. It has around one billion monthly active users, showing how it's one of the largest social media platforms out there. The downside to using Instagram as a social media platform is that you can not embed a hyperlink within a post, making it more complicated if you want people to follow a certain link on your post.

Twitter is also a useful platform as it helps to get information out quickly. This makes it a good platform to use with a blog as when a blog post is uploaded, it can be 'tweeted' out for the accounts followers to see. Nevertheless, Twitter does have some cons as a platform. There are limits on the amount of characters within a tweet, therefore making it difficult to write more in-depth tweets without going over that limit.

Facebook is an interesting platform to use when promoting blogs, as it has many users. With the average Facebook user being between 25-34 years old (United Kingdom: Facebook users by age 2020 | Statista, 2020), it offers a large audience for those interested in blogs. It's also a great platform to attract companies to your blog as many of these companies have a presence on Facebook, due to it being one of the most well-known social media platforms. The downside to Facebook is that many of the younger users of the platform are using it less, as an older generation to them are using it more.
